Michael Tylo was born October 16, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. Tylo is a versatile actor who had a continuing role on the ABC-TV daytime drama "General Hospital" as Charlie Prince before he assumed the role of the power mad Alcalde in "Zorro." He was featured as Dee Boot in the critically acclaimed, Emmy nominated mini-series "Lonesome Dove." His extensive theater background includes work with the Long Wharf Theatre,
The Meadowbrook Theater Tour, The Alley Theatre, and a stint at the Kennedy Center in a play under the direction of Richard Chamberlain. Since his work on "Zorro," Tylo appeared for two years as Blade on "The Young and the Restless" and has appeared in several movies. He is a graduate of Wayne State University holding a BFA in Acting and an MFA in Directing.
Tylo currently lives in California with his wife, actress Hunter Tylo, and their four children.
